New and Renewing Notary Packages Renewing Notary Packages do not come with a notary journal
Our New and Renewal Notary Packages include your required $7,500 Kansas Notary Bond. The State of Kansas requires purchasing your notary bond, which you will need to send along with your notary application. The price for this notary bond is the same if purchased with one of our packages or purchased separately.
Step 1: Order the $7,500 Kansas Notary Bond and Application Form as well as the Official Seal from The Notary's Store
Please visit The Notary's Store, you will be entering the Kansas section for your official surety bond and other notary supplies. We offer a New Notary Supply Package and a Renewing Notary Supply Package which include your required $7,500 Kansas Notary Bond and Applicaton Form, Kansas Notary Seal/Stamp and other needed notary supplies at a special reduced price. Kansas law does not require a notary to keep a record of his/her official acts, but it is recommended to do so. A register will offer an excellent way of recalling past notarial acts. If a notary is called upon to testify in court, a register may help establish what actually took place. The officially recommended Kansas Notary Journal, also available in the online store, was specifically designed for this purpose and contains many elements not available in other registers. Once you receive your seal and supplies you will be ready to begin your duties as a notary public for the State of Kansas. To order, enter the required information and scroll down through the page to locate the notary packages, or purchase your required $7,500 Kansas notary bond separately and any other products you desire, and follow the instructions through checkout. Once you have your official bond you may proceed with step 2.
Step 2: Complete the application form according to the instructions provided
Once you receive your supplies from The Notary's Store, you will need to make arrangements to have a notary public take your acknowledgment under oath or affirmation that the information provided in the application is true. The Notary Search feature from Notary-services.com can be helpful in contacting a notary public. Simply click the link below, enter your home ZIP code and click search for a list of notaries public in your area: Click here Notary Search
Be sure to make a copy of the actual bond for your records.

Kansas Secretary of State
Memorial Hall, 1st Floor
120 S.W. 10th Avenue

Step 3: Wait for the office of the Secretary of State to prepare and send your Certificate of Appointment
Upon receipt of a completed application with sufficient bond, an oath of appointment, the correct fee, the official signature and an impression of the seal to be used by such notary public; the Secretary of State, if satisfied the applicant is qualified to be appointed as a notary public, shall prepare a certificate of appointment for the applicant and forward the appointment to the applicant's residence. Each certificate of appointment shall contain at least the applicant's name and the date upon which the appointment shall expire. Since you have already purchased all your required supplies in step 1, once you receive the certificate of appointment from the Secretary of State you will be an official notary public for the State of Kansas.
Note: An Errors and Omissions Insurance Policy does not replace a bond, but will help to repay the bonding company if a claim is ever made. Errors and Omissions is not required by law, but may be purchased as it protects the notary public and pays for any charges the notary might owe for legal fees and costs should the notary be sued.
