The day before attending your scheduled class, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check our web site at www.CaliforniaNotaryExam.com and confirm that the location of your class has not changed since your registration.
Class registration begins at 7:30am and class starts (depending on class size) from 8:00 to 8:30am. Late arrivals after 8:30am will be instructed to reschedule in accordance with our policies stated below. The class instructor has the authority on late arrivals to class.
You must contact us in writing by email or U.S. Mail for a class reschedule.
Reschedules made at least seven (7) business days prior to class will be granted at no charge.
There is a $25.00 fee for reschedules made with less than a seven (7) business day notice and up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to your class.
There is a $50.00 fee for reschedules made with less than a forty-eight (48) hour notice.
We only offer this rescheduling one time. Failure to attend your rescheduled class will forfeit your order and you will need to place a new order for class.
Your rescheduled class must be within sixty (60) days of your original scheduled class.
All credit card cancellations are subject to a 10% service charge. If payment was made by check or cash these REFUNDS are subject to deduction of cancellation fees and the balance of payment returned to you by check within 30 days of cancellation date.
Cancellations made at least seven (7) business days prior to class will be granted.
There is a $50.00 fee for cancellations made with less than a seven (7) business day notice and up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to your class.
Cancellations with less than forty-eight (48) hours notice cannot be refunded for any reason due to limited time left to fill your vacated seat.
Cancellation fees will be deducted from the card used for your original order unless other arrangements are made. Payments by check or cash ( less applied deductions ) are refunded by check within 30 days of cancellation date. We do not issue refunds for purchases after 6 months from the order date.
Students not present for class cannot be refunded or rescheduled for any reason due to limited seating at our mandatory notary classes. By not showing up for class, you have taken a seat someone else would have been able to fill. You will need to resubmit a new order for class.
Class Guarantee and Seat Fee
Our "Class Guarantee" ensures that if you take our live 6 hour CA Exam Class and fail the State exam, you may take our class again up to two (2) additional times.
To take advantage of this guarantee, this must be done within the next three (3) consecutive months after your first exam along with the purchase of an exam seat reservation. There is a fee of $55.00 charged for your exam seat reservation, which means that you will have a seat for the entire class and a reserved seat for the State exam.
The Secretary of State will charge $20.00 to retake the State exam. You must register on our web site by choosing the "Retaking Test" link below the date of the class you wish to attend.
Make sure you are able to attend on your registered exam date. Cancellations, reschedules or refunds made at least seven (7) business days prior to class will be granted. Refunds will not be granted with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to your exam date.
Class Refund Policy (California Secretary of State requirements)
The Notary Learning Center, Inc. will refund the notary class fee within thirty (30) days of a scheduled class date to any student who has registered to attend one of our classes if one of the following occurs:
Our instructor fails to appear at the scheduled time, date or location of the class.
The class start time is delayed more than fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled time, the student informs our instructor of a request for refund, and the student leaves the classroom prior to class starting.
Signing Agent Live Class

When you order either the Online or the Self-Study notary course, you will be sent an Order Number and Registration Code by email. Once the email has been sent to you, there are NO REFUNDS.
OTHER SERVICES AND MATERIALS
Live Scan Finger Printing
Notary Learning Center, Inc. does not control the acceptance or rejections of live scan fingerprints submitted to the Department of Justice or the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
If you were enrolled for Live Scan service and did not have it completed in class, you will need to contact us on how to have the service completed.
In the case where there are less than ten (10) students enrolled for Live Scan service in a particular session, the Notary Learning Center, Inc. has the right to cancel the in-class live scan service. In that case we will provide options for having the service fulfilled or you may choose a refund of the amount you paid for the Live Scan service.
Passport-Type Photo Service
For your convenience, we offer a passport-type photograph service. A 2" x 2" color passport-type photograph is now required to be attached to your notary application. The Notary Learning Center, Inc. does not control the acceptance or rejection of this photograph.
In the case where there are less than ten (10) students registered for the photo service at a particular session, the Notary Learning Center, Inc. has the right to cancel the in-class photograph service. In that case we will provide options for having the service fulfilled or you may choose a refund of the amount you paid for the photo service.
If you have a discount code it must be valid and it must be redeemed when placing your online order. Once the order has been processed we cannot adjust your order to reflect the discount.
Forms and Certificates on CD and in PDF Forms Pack
We offer free updates of the certificates and forms contained on the Compact Disc and the Forms and Certificates Pack for life to the original purchaser.
Memberships at Notary-Services.com and NotaryRotary.com
If a Basic Membership is being offered it is free and is provided through NotaryRotary.com. If you would like to upgrade to a Premier Membership with NotaryRotary.com, you will be given the opportunity to join for One Year at $99.
Notary-Services web pages will be maintained for the membership term you have selected. NotaryRotary.com Basic Members must sign in at least once every 3 months to update their profiles. Profiles that have not been updated recently will be deleted.
All membership fees are non-refundable.
You may request a full refund for purchased notary supplies waiting to be filled within six (6) months from your original order date minus a 10% service charge.
Beyond six (6) months from your original order date, we will only issue a 50% refund of your purchased notary supplies.
If you are not satisfied with your products, you may return them within thirty (30) days of the date of purchase for a complete or partial refund of the purchase price as specified below. Customized and Personalized Products
If you are not satisfied with any of the following items, they may be returned within thirty (30) days of purchase for a 100% refund of the purchase price:
Notary Embossing Seals
There is one major exception to this policy: If your personalized product includes a typographical error that you were responsible for (for example you mis-typed your notary name or commission expiration date on our web site), we will NOT refund the purchase price of your product. We will, however, work with you to replace the product in the least expensive way possible.
If your product is defective, it may be returned within one (1) year of the date of purchase for repair or replacement. Defects do not include normal wear or damage introduced by you. For example, if you ruin your notary stamp by refilling it with the wrong type of ink, we will NOT replace it.
If your product has been damaged during delivery to you, you must notify us within three (3) days of receipt of the package by calling 800-909-9003. Reference your order or invoice number when calling. We will arrange for the return and/or replacement of your damaged product. Note that we carefully package all shipments; so damaged products are very rare.
Notary Bonds and Errors and Omissions Insurance
Notary bonds and Errors and Omissions insurance may be returned within sixty (60) days of purchase for cancellation and a full refund of the premium paid. To qualify for this refund, you must return the original, signed bond or insurance policy to our office by U.S. Mail, along with a request to cancel your bond or insurance policy as of the date of purchase.
If you have already filed your notary bond, refunds are not available under any circumstance.
If it has been sixty (60) days from the purchase of your Errors and Omissions policy, it is no longer eligible for a premium refund in the event of cancellation unless required by law. The premium will be considered fully earned, even if your policy term covers several years. You may, however, upgrade to a policy with a higher coverage limit if one is available. In that case, a pro-rated premium refund will be calculated and applied to the pro-rated premium for the new policy. You must pay the difference.

Returned products must be in new condition when they reach our office, meaning you must take the same care to package them that we took when we shipped them to you. Generally, this means you should use an adequate amount of packaging material such as paper filler or bubble wrap.
If the returned products we receive are damaged - bent corners, etc. - we will be unable to resell them and they will be returned to you at our discretion, in which case no refund will be made.
